Having aspired to be a GP since the age of 11, I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1995 before joining the Derby GP training scheme where I completed my GP registrar year here in Heanor. I worked as a GP partner until 2019, at which point I sought new challenges as a salaried doctor in Ilkeston & worked for the out of hours service (DHU) and as a GP on a ‘freelance’ basis. I settled at RPC Brooklyn in the summer of 2024 and am delighted to be part of a strong team where patient care is the priority. Whilst I enjoy all aspects of general practice, my interests include mental health, women’s health and management of the perimenopause and menopause. As the parent of a child on the autism spectrum, I have always had a keen interest supporting patients and children with neurodivergent needs to access the best care and advice. I love my job and find such fulfilment helping patients to access good quality care and I endeavour to provide the standards I would expect for my own family.
I currently work three days per week.
